Navajo Nation had the highest per capita infection rate (Covid-19) in summer of 2020 in the US. I traveled there in Fall 2020 when places like NYC were in the news all the time for high Covid cases but reservation areas were mostly ignored. Highlighting the issue that was there for centuries that US government underfunded health care for indigenous people. "Still killing them".
One thing that was surprising for me was that more than 30 percent of Navajo Nation residents lack running water.
